Uh oh!

unfortunately overnight we had a serious server error which brought the site down for a few hours. After this the site returned to service, but we are still attempting to recover some data from our old server such as the icon images. This data will become available as we recover it over the next few hours.

Your personal data is still safe and is still accessible by logging in at transferr.com.

We're really sorry about the inconvenience of it all and we're making moves to ensure it never happens again.

Baker Street, the new version of Transferr, is finally here!

It's been a long time coming! Finally Transferr's new version, 1.5:'Baker Street', is being updated for all users today - hooray! In case you missed our previous post about the new features, you can read about the updates in Baker Street here.

The biggest new feature that we're making available today is the ability to share your tabs of icons: every tab can be shared, so anyone with our permalinked and shortened URL can view the icons within your tab, you can then spread them around the web with the AddThis button.

Transferr is now great for sharing groups of icons with friends or colleagues throughout the web.

The updates will begin over the course of the next few hours, during which the availability of Transferr will be limited or completely unavailable.

Announcing new Transferr features!

The new version of Transferr is all about sharing. In the past Transferr could share icons

between people using email. Soon Transferr will get sharing right, because there will be a new way to share your favourites: in tabs!

Transferr.com lets users share a whole tab of icons with others by creating a public (uneditable) page with a unique, permalinked and shortened URL. This is great for sharing through social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook. You can copy and share the link and anyone with that permalinked URL can view your shared icons. This is useful for group collaboration, teaching and web-publishing.

We've even included the popular AddThis button to make sharing the shared tab super easy.

Great news! Find Transferr on the AddThis button

Transferr has just been added to the AddThis button, a free button for any website that allows people to share or bookmark the page the button is located on with a number of different social networks and bookmarking sites.... including Transferr!

This is big news for us because the AddThis button has a global audience of over 500 million people, many of whom will see the Transferr brand and may join the service.

When you see the AddThis button on any webpage and click it you will see a couple of your most used or most popular services, click 'More...' and you will be able to view a whole list of web services in alphabetical order:

Clicking the Transferr icon will then redirect you to Transferr.com, where an icon for the site you used the AddThis button on will be waiting for you (still warm like freshly baked pie). The great thing is that once you use Transferr on the AddThis button, you don't have to find it in the list again - the AddThis button learns your favourite services and places them at the top:

Welcome new users!

A big welcome to our Portuguese and Brazillian visitors, we hope you enjoy Transferr.

Unexpected Server Troubles

Icon creation services will be unavailable for the next few hours (possibly longer) while our main transferr server has a bad attitude. As we coerce it back into behaving, users may briefly not be able to view the website. We'll let you know when it's all good again.
